I felt this was going to be a potential banana skin for us as Firwood have been gathering momentum and I knew from when we played them very early in the season that they had some good young players.
We got ourselves into a 2 goal lead and were looking good but as we had the wind and the downhill I knew they would threaten our goal.
In the second half they managed to break through a few times, however we managed to still limit their chances to half ones.
They then got a goal from a dubious penalty (looked a classic dive to me), however their play to get to that point probably deserved a goal.
Thankfully we went up the other end and scored a screamer from our left back - I doubt he'll ever score one as good again.
Another great strike with 15 mins to go had us 4-1 up, however - another extremely dubious penalty given for a push off a throw in meant the game ended 4-2.
I felt we were good for the win, but there is no denying that Firwood are in the ascendancy and they could be serious contenders for a top 3 spot next season.
They have some excellent players, especially up front who will cause any defence problems when they click.
