A well deserved victory for Revival. OWFC started well and should have scored in the first minute, however, it went past and 2 minutes later, Revival scored after poor decision making from our keeper left him in no mans land and an empty net for the Revival striker.
Revival out fought us in midfield and their combative style and ability to move the ball around at pace caused us many problems but it wasn't until the 34th minute that they scored again when a high free kick into the box was glanced into the net making it 2-0. Kev Hughes almost got one back for OWFC when he lobbed the keeper only to see the ball come back off the underside of the bar and then kicked to safety. In the 40th minute, Revival increased their lead with a neat finish after good build up play.
OWFC put up a better fight in the 2nd half and had chances to get back into the game but had to wait until the 72nd minute to get a goal back from a Kieren Hutton penalty.
Whilst OWFC pushed for another, Revival always looked threatening on the break and in the 88th minute, they made it 4-1 from a breakaway.
Revival were worthy winners and their pass and move game will cause problems for all teams they face this season. Well done to Dave and his guys for the match and I believe that if any team finishes above them this season they will be champions.
