An unfortunate defeat for us, which we feel was undeserved. (The Bolton lads may feel different).
Bolton's goal came half way through the second half when a low cross was swept into the near post from 12 yards out. This to be fair was there only decent attempt on target in the whole 90 minutes.
Ivy had great chances in each half that forced the Bolton keeper into 2 smart saves. Our forward also hit the bar from a 1-on-1 with the keeper, and we had a goal disallowed following a corner. The keeper dropped the initial cross but felt he was fouled as he went to ground to retrieve the loose ball.
On the whole a fantastic game of football, and perhaps a draw would have been fair. But it wasn't to be. Well done to Bolton.
