This was a very physical game played on a pitch that churned up within the first 5 mins of the match. Andrew (South \manchesters manager) stepped up to ref the match after the referee pulled a sick. He reffed a good game in difficult circumstances, with both teams putting him under a fair amount if pressure.
Back to the football: Eden Eccles opened up the scoring, then SMAB equalised, and then went ahead. 2-1 to SMAB. Eden Eccles equlaised again before the end of full time. In extra time Eccles went 3-2 up. In the last 5-10 mins Eccles gave away needless freekick on the edge of the box. SMAB finished this free kick nicely.
3-3 at the end of extra time.
SMAB won 4-3 on penalties.
Congrats to to South Manchester. All the best for the rest of the season.
