What can I say? This was a huge game for us and we took a really decent side up to Burnley (unbeaten in our last 2 games against them) and they were simply better than us and deserved the points. They were sharper than us, quicker to the ball and more incisive when in possession. I can't remember playing a stronger Burnley squad in the 9 seasons I have been playing in these leagues. They had Rusty on the bench which tells you everything as he was just about the best player in the league a couple of years ago when we first got promoted to the top division. Congratulations Burnley, we could have had 2 or 3 goals easily on the day but then they could have too. Apparently Burnley don't take as strong a squad away with them so there is still hope for those due to play them at home.

Thanks Jon. I wasn't there personally but you're right we did have a strong squad. We have managed to put a good squad together after initially losing a few key players early in the season.
A game we knew we needed to win but things still very tight at the top. Not sure any team can afford any more slip ups if they want to stay in the race.
This season has been the most competitive I can remember.
