A very good game of football, two good teams who went for it full on for 90 mins.
Hurdsfield had a strong team and I reckoned Bridge had a strong team, an even stronger team - at the end Cookie confirmed they did, with several subs who were just as good if not better than the starting 11. I reckon that Bridge team are the best team we have played this season. I think we had more chances on target than Bridge so I would say that probably stand out for Bridge was their keeper who I think was the main reason that they won..........albeit based on just one performance, I reckon he is the best keeper I've seen in SMCCFL.
So, with the withdrawal of Firwood, that is just 1 win from 4 for Hurdsfield. Another loss where we have been competitive against a very good team, and on another day (against another keeper !) we might have got a different result. So, we can't be too disappointed, at least we didn't lose from a winning position late in the match as the previous two defeats - we know our next League win won't be far away with that team.
