A really exciting cup final to watch, and just as enjoyable as our previous outing 2 years ago.
Ivy took the lead early in the first half when a great bit of play from our midfielder created space on the edge of the box to fire into the bottom right corner.
Hurdsfield had the better of the first half creating numerous chances before squandering in front of goal.
Eventually the equaliser came, mistakes from all over the pitch from Ivy allowed Hurdsfield to break through and the striker slot through the advancing 'keeper from an acute angle.
In the second half Ivy made some changes and was much the better team in the second half. With the Hurdsfield 'keeper making 4 or 5 outstanding saves.
Eventually the second goal did come, from a rebound following another outstanding save. Unfortunately the weak rebound had just enough on it that the 'keeper could get his feet sorted in time and the ball squirmed in.
Ivy continued to play well and kept Hurdsfield at bay, bar one great chance when the centre forward misqeued his header.
Man of the Match was rightly the Hurdsfield Goalkeeper

Good report, fair summary from David.
Congratulations to Ivy.
The way the whole Ivy team celebrated their winning goal and then after the Trophy and medals had been presented showed just how pleased they were with the win and how much it meant to them.
