Realised I hadnt updated this since round 2! We beat Quest Liverpool in round 3 and today we faced kings Sports from Hertforshire in the Quarter Final.
In a close game we probably had the better chances & more possession, but desptie taking the lead with 20 minutes to go, we conceded a penalty and the game went to extra time.
In the first half we couldnt convert any chances, and Kings found an opening to make it 2-1. With 8 minutes to go, it looked as though we had run out of steam, but a free kick was met well in the penalty area to bring the game evens.
Penalties looked like it would decide the game, but with a minute to go, we broke and a bending shot on the edge of the area hit the top corner!
There wasnt any time for a reply from Kings - and we have booked a place in the semi finals.
Its the furthest we have progressed in the competition - next up is a game against either Bootle Liverpool or a team from Croydon
