Rearranged following a frozen pitch back in December and it nearly didn't happen today either after Ivy only managed to confirm on Friday evening that they could field a team. For Hurdsfield it had also been a struggle to get a team out with regulars and key players not available and 2 players playing their first match of the season.
Ivy were deserved winners. For Hurdsfield it was not our finest hour !......I think we only had one clear cut scoring chance......a very different performance from our cup win last week. But we can't be too disappointed given the players missing..
A bad result for Hurdsfield, a good result for Ivy, but definitely right for us both to play the match, especially because if we hadn't played it is most likely that we would not able to play the fixture before season end. And with the good weather it was good to be out in the fresh air !
