Not the best start to the morning....
Players got lost, When we did arrive it looked as though it was closed, once we got in to the complex we realised there were no changing rooms & once we got onto the pitch both sets of players soon realised the ref wasnt going to turn up!
Ralph from Vinelife had to step in to the breach to fill in for the ref, but was fantastic from the 1st whistle to the last. To be fair, both sets of players conducted themselves superbly and gave the ref a relatively easy game with only a handful of fouls all game.
Burnley took the lead within 20 mins and then squandered a few chances to add another. Vinelife grew into the game after the goal and capitalised on some wayward passing from Burnley to turn into attacking threats. This led to a well taken goal at the back post.
1-1 half time
Burnley turned the screw second half and had lions share of possession - and scored another when 1 on 1 with the keeper.
Vinelife replied from after a series of corners that Burnley failed to clear. Their midfielder hitting a sweet one into the top right from the edge of the box.
Thankfully (for us) only a few minutes after - Burnley went route one and manged to race clear 1 on 1 - our winger cooly taking it around the keeper and slotting into the corner.
We now wait to find out our next opponents which will be one of Westwood, Bolton or Burnley Blues
