I reckon we deserved to win, but it wasn't until we got a 3 goal advantage in the second half that we could feel like we would win. In the first half it could have gone either way. Ditton started better and went 1-0, then we got an equaliser and a soft penalty to go 2-1. Shortly after Ditton were denied a certain penalty but incredibly the ref didn't give it. They should have at least had the chance to equalise, with another ref the penalty decisions would have gone the other way and Ditton could have been 2-1 up. Difficult to say if the result would have been different had the penalty decisions gone the other way. We went 3-1 up at half time with a bizarre goal that seemed impossible with the angle Jonny shot from near the corner flag.
Good spirited match. Ditton are now a credit too SMCCFL - their conduct and their football.
