Blues manager Mark said at the end that his team had not played as well as they can because Hurdsfield didn't let them. I think that was an accurate assessment, our defence and midfield did well to keep the Blues attacking threat under control, our first clean sheet for a long time reflects that I suppose. But it took a great finger tip save onto the post in the last few minutes from our stand-in keeper Steve Massey to preserve the clean sheet.
Add to that we had enough attacking threat to get the goals to win the match. We went 1-0 up late in the first half from a corner, then crucially we went 2-0 up early in the second half.
We needed a decent performance and a good result after our disappointment in the Cup 2 weeks ago.
We had a new ref who had a good match.

I enjoyed the game and it was good to have a good 3-0 win would like to say that after the second goal blues did do well defensively but unforternate to them they conceded a third I remember from past games agaist blues where they played really well better luck in your next game,I am happy with our performance and I thank mike for bringing mw on in the second half wich I did score the second goal we play very well and hope to see more games like this one through out the season

Hey Jordan.....nice to see you on the Forum - first time for ages we have had anyone other than me from Hurdsfield making posts about our matches!
Good goal from Jonny and you for number 2.
I thought in the second half in particular there was some good football played by both teams.
