The way the season is shaping up, Bridge are probably the best team in division 2 and their second half performance today showed that I reckon. Top of the league doesn't lie. The subs Bridge brought on in the second half definitely improved their team and they turned 0-0 at half time and a close contest into the 2-0 win.
So, saying all that, we have to be pleased with our performance if not the result. I reckon we had more scoring chances than Bridge, especially first half, but poor finishing and good goalkeeping meant we couldn't take advantage. Considering we were missing some key players we played really well and were a match for Bridge. Our squad is bigger and better this seasons which means that even when player availability is not good we can still get a decent team out. And, we now have a 'proper' goalkeeper which makes such a difference - fourth match for young Dom and we are really pleased he is playing for us.
Sadly, our centre mid Sam had his car broken into during the fist half - he was impressively calm and philosophical about it.
