After one defeat and two draws, this was our first win of the season. In those previous 3 matches I reckon we could (rather than should) have won, so I think we were due a win.
It was a tight match, I think we did just about enough to be deserved winners, but at 2-2 in the second half it could have gone either way and there were spells when Macc Parish were in control. It took a stunning long range strike from our left back to go 3-2 ahead in the second half when the match was finely balanced.....that might be Roger's first goal for Hurdsfield, if it is not it is a rarity.
Some new faces in David's team, even since we played them in early September friendly and I was impressed with them - we had to be at our near best to beat them and needed that goal from Roger. I think MP will start winning soon and I think div 2 is going to be even tighter and more competitive than I was expecting before the season started.
