First time these two teams have met, first time we have been to Scholes park, first time we have had our team name on our change room door ! It is a good place to play football - good pitches and good facilities.
A draw probably a fair result. Hurdsfield went 3-0 up in the first half so on the one hand we are disappointed not to win, but after St E's pulled it back to 3-3 I had feared that they could go on and win the game and we would have been left with nothing. Also it is probably fair to say that I don't think we were 3-0 better than St E's in that early phase. I think we would have won if we had taken either of two clear cut chances in the second half when we were still ahead, one of those misses was down to a great save. Our new keeper also made two good saves in the second half.
