Emmanuel Lightning 2 Ditton Athletic 1

A very disappointing result for us really..We arrived in northampton at 330pm for a 530pmko only to be told there was a youth cup final on..We did a fair bit of waiting around which was quite frustrating and eventually kicked off at 645pm...organisation was lacking.

When we did eventually kick off we started quite well,we won a penalty which unfortunately we missed but then immediately scored through mick o'neill,a fierce shot across the keeper.

EL big lad up front then scored a very debateable pen,given for what I still don't know.1-1

EL made it 2-1 with a hopeful ball over the top,are keeper half came but hesitated and the big lad buried it.

A deserved lead as we went missing.

2nd half we applied some decent pressure but we just couldn't create anything of note.Good defending from EL.

Looking back it was a great experience to be part of but it was definitely an opportunity missed I feel...Well done to emmanuel lightning though.
