Bottom v Top but this was a fairly one sided game in a way you wouldn't have imagined. As a centre half I came off the pitch without having to win a tackle on the ground all day and with no mud on my legs after 90 mins on a wet pitch. That tells you that there was a measure of surprising comfort in this game for WAFC B. Goals from JP Smith, myself with a thumping header, the same from Robbie Humpheries gave us a 3-0 lead at half time. We extended that with a tap in from Dave Dowdall and a wonderful 30 yarder into the postage stamp from Craig Keane. The game lost a bit of its shape in the last 15-20mins and so I was glad we kept a clean sheet throughout. 7 points from 9 for a team that had lost all its matches before that is dramatic improvement to say the least

Quite a remarkable turnaround , the fact you had at least 4 former a team players in your ranks probably helped

As the previous anonymous writer points out we did have some players with A team experience but things change and last Sat quite clearly the most important game for WAFC was our A team game away to People's as our A team battle to stay in the top division. So quite clearly we sent our strongest team to that match v Peoples and not to play in a match against Kay St.

So what you are saying is you have brought in better players for the first team to try and bolster your chances of staying in the first division, which is understandable, but then have 4-5 experienced a team players playing in the 4th Division, a game in which the opposition could have won the title, just wondering if that's fair game and in the spirit of the league? Or is this practise widespread

Why are you moaning about this? If they all come under the same clud of Warrington Amateurs what difference does it make?, is not as if they have ringers from other clubs, they are all signed to the same club You got beat so handle it!

This is simply sour grapes. None of the lads had played more than 5 games for the A team this season so they are eligible to play for either team. We haven't brought in a whole load of new players, we moved a couple of good B team lads up and dropped 4 A team squad players down. We simply had better availability of our clubs better players last week. Kay St maybe weren't expecting as tough a game and maybe took too long to get going.
