The rain came in abundance last night and saturated all the pitches. Thankfully one survived, and just about playable.
I think we played really well today. We constantly stretched the game and were able to really put our stamp on things.
We scored early on with a nice volley from the edge of the area. A fine passing move 10 minutes later resulted in a really well taken goal. Salfords keeper pulled off some fine saves to keep things as they were till half time.
We continued to press in the second half and the goals followed. Most were strikes inside the box along with a free kick into the bottom corner.
Salford got theirs from a free kick that was spilled by our keeper in a crowded box.
Game played in great spirit despite the poor conditions.

Well Done Burnley you deserved the win you played us off the park.
This was a bitter pill swallow for us because it wasn't too long ago that we were rubbing shoulders with the likes of yellows and challenging them and toft for the title, but the last two seasons have been difficult for us, in terms of team selection and with that on top of some fitness issues we have struggled.
But hopefully with the plans we have in place for next season for the church/club, hopefully we can get back to giving the yellows a closer game next season and get back to challenging them for the title.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to apologise again to Billy and the rest of the lads for my late challenge.
We now have four games left to prove that we deserve to stop in this division, this will require hard work and togetherness which prior to this match we had shown that this approach can win games because we went on a four game unbeaten run, we need go on a similar run to guarantee our survival.
