This was the 5th time we had played BB and were yet to beat them,thankfully we got the victory today.
First chance of the game went to joddy cahill of ditton when he shot from 6 yards after a latching onto a loose ball but the keeper saved.
It was a sign of things to come as we dominated with the wind behind us,2 quick goals,the first a wonder strike from our centre back jay shaw on 12 mins, the 2nd a quick break down the left and david buckley crossing for mike kirby to slot home on 20 mins.0-2.
Bb struggled to create many openings but had plenty of possesion.mike kirby made it 3 after 30 mins and this seemed to kill off BB even at this early stage.HT 0-3
Second half bridge played a lot better but it was us on the counter attack who created 3/4 very good chances to finish them off but we couldnt..
Credit to BB who never stopped playing good football,their number 8 had a great chance to score but was denied by tony pitt on 70 mins.
They did score a scrappy goal on 75 mins from a corner which gave them hope 1-3.They were always pushing men forward looking for the 2nd goal which left a lot of space for us.
We wrapped up the tie when yanek arscotts shot was deflected in to make it 1-4 on 85.
Pleased with our performance today, as always against BB the game was played in good spirits.
