Burnley Yellow FC 2 Oasis Warrington FC 3
This match was played on the 3G pitch at Burnley College.
A bright start by both teams but definitely shaded by Yellows, both teams attempted to keep the ball on the ground and it was the sharp, crisp passing that led to them taking the lead after 17 minutes with a great finish from 20 yards into the top corner.
Oasis kept going but Yellows controlled much of the midfield and added to their lead with another good finish in the 30th minute.
Half time - Burnly Yellows 2 Oasis Warrington 0
Oasis came out in the 2nd half with nothing to lose and took the game to Yellows and got a goal back after 48 minutes when Paul Brush scored from a Daniel O'Neill pass. Oasis continued to push but Yellows always looked dangerous on the counter attack, and drew level in the 70th minute when Kev Hughes scored from a Kieran Butterworth cutback.
The last 20 minutes was end to end stuff and both sides had chances to grab a winner, however, that honour fell to Paul Brush who scored from a Kev Hughes pass in the 88th minute to give Oasis victory.
A great match to watch between two entertaining teams. Thanks to Burger and his guys for an enjoyable morning.
