A result that puts us back within the race for the title.
The last 2 games have easily been our best performances of the season, although Firwood will probably feel they could have scored 1 or 2 with some good chances in the 1st half.
Firwood are a good team and you can see why they are at the top end of the table. They always try to play neat, passing football, which at times was their undoing. However, its the right way to play and its only by sticking to that philosophy that you eventually start to reap the rewards.
They had a lad in the middle that could pick a pass through to the quick guy upfront. Our defenders had to be on their toes many times.
We played some fantastic stuff going forwards and reaped the rewards from this.
Next week we're off to Hastings in East Sussex for the Qtr Final National Cup game .....fingers crossed for a positive result!
