Seems like ages since I was writing a match report on the Forum, since 4th Jan to be precise.
Finally the wet weather has eased to enable us to play football. The drier weather this week had meant the pitch was dry an fairly firm, although most of the pitch has been left badly churned up with not much grass from some recent matches which really shouldn't have been played when it was so wet. So, a very bobbly surface, and given the state of the pitch both sets of players did well to make a decent match.
For the two teams in the bottom 2, a draw is no good for either team !
Hurdsfield came back from 3-0 down with 3 goals in the last quarter of the match, including the equaliser in injury time. Ambassadors must be gutted not to have sealed an important win from 3-0 up, but we thought a draw was no more than we deserved.

Mike didn't say that he rolled back the years and actually pulled off a few lovely saves to keep Hurdsfields in it (esp a 1 on 1 in first half and some in the 2nd)

Thanks for your comments John.......and for not mentioning the other side of my goalie performance!.....eg the keeper/defender mess-up that led to your second goal!
Actually, I hope soon to be back in my preferred position on the sidelines - we do have a new keeper on our books who we hope will be what we need, but he has got injured before he even starts!
