A fantastic win for WAFC that has been coming in the last couple of games. A quick start saw Josh Woods score from a clever ball behind the KSB back four and Josh finished well in the first attack.
Josh went onto complete his hat-trick in the first half hour or so with some great supply from Ben Quirk and others. Josh bagged a 4th early in the 2nd half before Ben Quirk produced possibly the goal of the season when he ran down the right hand channel, checking back onto his left foot and curling the ball, with pace into the top left hand corner from the right hand corner of the 18 yard box. He deserved that for his link up play alone. 5-0.
KSB had spells of sustained pressure without creating the clear cut chances that WAFC did, although they scored a brave header (which accidentally injured our giant keeper Jamie) to reduce the arrears before Josh took his personal tally to 5. He ran onto a through ball and had all the time in the world to place the ball in the right hand side of the goal.
KSB pulled one back late on after a simple ball down the line was misjudged by our centre half and the striker blasted in at the near post.
6-2 was probably about fair and the WAFC B team deserve that for all they have put in so far this season.

I thought this is one KSB would have won on paper. It sounded like it might have been a different result today had Josh not been playing with the second team.
