Revival took the lead inside 30 seconds when their forward pounced on a poor defensive header. This gave Oasis a wake up call and in the 10th minute, brothers Gareth and Tom Lupton combined well before Tom shot home. 6 minutes later, Tom Lupton scored his and Oasis' second directly from a free kick. Oasis added a 3rd soon afterwards with another free kick, this time, curled into the top corner by Stu Magee.
5 minutes before half time, a through ball from Michael O'Neill was toe poked home by Jimmy McNamee to make it RCFC 1 OWFC 4 at the break.
Revival came out for the second half with much more intent and created several very good chances before finally scoring 2 quick goals to make it 4-3 and create uncertainty in the Oasis ranks. However, Oasis were awarded 2 clear penalties and Graeme Long expertly despatched both to make the final score 3-6.
This wasn't a particularly good advert for SMCCFL as both teams continually moaned at each other, lots of unsporting behaviour throughout, and there was some hard tackles being dished out. It was disappointing as all previous matches between our clubs have always been physical but played in good spirit and with respect shown to each other.
