As always a well contested game in what tends to be played with a derby like atmosphere each season.
Warrington took the lead after a few mintues after a clanger from the keeper spilled a through ball to allow a tap. Smafc pressed and had a few chances before another goalkeeper error this time at the opposite end allowed another tap in to level things, after around 15 mins. Warrington had a few chances before Smafc took the lead with a good shot on the turn from the edge of the box for 2-1 after around the half hour mark.
Second half saw Warrington go to two upfront and push for an equaliser. After some poor or lack of closing down in midfield, they found it after around 65 minutes. A good through ball was taken well by their centre mid who then proded it in on the volley from ten yards out. Both teams pushed for a winner but it was Smafc who after some half chances came to nothing found a flick on was well finished on the angle for 3-2 after around 75 mins. Warrington pushed for a leveller and would have got one in the dying minutes if not for a great one on one save. Despite Warrington pushing three upfront and throwing everything at it the score finsished 3-2.
Another close game which seems to be the same for most fixtures this season. On reflection it looks like alot of teams have improved and there's really not alot between each team. Just a shame Toft aren't still in the league to make it even more comptetitive.
Well played to Warrington, we look forward to another meeting later in the season.

Totally agree with the report from SMAFC. There is a derby type atmosphere to this fixture as we've traveled from Div 3 together in the past 4 season. This was a typically close game that could have produced any result and was won by a real touch of class from SMAFC's No.9 who was a real handful all game. We have no complaints about the result despite possibly making more clear cut chances as I felt SMAFC had the better of the 1st half and good periods in the 2nd as well. Thought the ref was good as well which helped to keep a lid of anything getting too tasty. We'll look forward to hosting SMAFC later in the season in the hope that its a top 4 position we're all playing for then.
