Well done to Peoples Church on taking their chances when they had them.
Without sounding biased, as I always try my best not to be, Ramsbottom were on top for the first 30 minutes and should have been at least 1-0 up by this time - unfortunately we weren't due to poor finishing. Poeples took a short free kick, we didn't close down and the big lad had one of the tamest shots you will ever see, our GK thought it was going wide, didn't and went in. Even Peoples church were surprised and knew they were fortunate to be leading. For the rest of the half it was pretty even and again we switched off right at the end of the half and they got their 2nd goal.
We came back out knowing we could still get something from the game and again dominated for a good 20 minutes without actually any end product. A number of chances that should have been put away but weren't. Peoples church defended well and got the victory.
It was a case of good build up play but when it mattered we weren't good enough in the finishing department.
With the Burnley and Ambassadors result today it makes the league pretty close for majority of teams albeit only 4 games in!
Thanks to Peoples, we look forward to the return match.

I think this is a fair reflection! We took half an hour to click in to gear; Rammy were dominating. We struck with a bizarre long goal. We improved after 35 mins but have played a lot better this season.
Second half was probably more even and open with our keeper forced into a couple of full stretch saves and we missed a couple more chances. Second goal came soon after the half and was when we crept back in to the game a little bit.
Good game and spirit overall, Rammy battled well and had us under pressure for large chunks.
All the best!
