Well done to lads from Peoples Church, they approached the game in the right manner and played with a lot more hunger than our lot. Two early goals in the first half, through ball watching & not tracking back cost us. From then on people church had us on the back foot till the end of the first half. Some pride was restored in the 2nd half, we started to pass the ball around much quicker and fight back when we lost possession, but the lads from Peoples Church held firm and hit us on the break, well I say break, it was really another mistake from us. In the end the game fizzled out and Peoples Church took all three points and deservedly so. (Good to see some old faces, including the time wasting GK you know who you are Mr Skips hahahaha !!)
On a Salford Note, it’s back to basics, our lot need to start working harder and start earning points, rather than expecting teams to jus role over and let us have them. This league is already showing signs, that it’s going to be a very close season, because all 8 teams are more than capable of beating each other and our lot need to switch on and start showing other teams some respect and start fighting for every point, otherwise come April we will be at the wrong end of the table. (Sir Caswell going to have to borrow that hair dryer of Sir Alex)
