Well done to Warrington Ambassadors who came back to win from 1-0 down at half time, they had the upper hand in the second half and in the end they got the goals to win the match - despite going down to 10 men mid way through the 2nd half. Four defeats in a row now for Hurdsfield, rock bottom of div 1. . But not demoralising like our last outing, there are signs of potential and I still think we will start winning. The experienced senior players are playing well, whilst our availability problems so far this season is giving the new/young players experience which will be good for the future. Probably most encouraging today was our latest signing - much needed new keeper. Although 2 of the Ambassadors goals were due to keeper errors, Darryl showed he is a good keeper and Ambassadors would have scored more if we hadn't got Darryl in goal.....some good saves and he showed he knows what he is doing between the sticks. An amusing incident for me showed one of the problems of bringing in new players....after one of our debutants played a short free kick to a team mate who was not expecting it, I said that he needs to call the player's name as he kicks it.......the reply: "I would, but I don't know his name" ! The pitch was in good condition, nice surface to play on. I thought the referee had a good match, and apart from the sending off situation the match was played with a positive and friendly attitude from both sets of players. UP THE OWLS
