Despite slightly warmer morning the pitch was still hard and not sufficiently thawed (it had been -2C at midnight) and also surface water from some overnight rain had formed puddles because the water couldn't drain through the frozen surface ! 
The pitch was frozen solid at 7.30pm Fri, but it was right to leave the decision til the morning because of the forecast for a warmer morning. But then equally I think right to call it off at 9am to save players a wasted journey.
We might be able to play it 22nd Dec if both teams have enough players available.
