This thread just keeps getting better. I take it the "Summer Cup" is the 6 a side tournament that happens on Awards Day? If so, I can assure that Macc Parish have never played Oasis Warrington in this format, however, that shouldn't detract from your obvious pleasure in winning it, I'm just sorry I missed the open top bus parade through Macclesfield and the civic reception, but we were too busy enjoying the medals and trophy we received for winning the league in our first season.
Come say hello when we visit you later in season and not hide behind made up names whilst spouting nonsense.

'know my players well enough to know they wouldn't have got involved in this thread unless they felt unjustly criticised by your ridiculous post.'
or it could be the fact that like on the pitch they have too much to say for themselves.
silly, deluded, ignorant and biased - you managed to get all my character credentials in there - thank you for the observations and I'm glad I could give you all something more to moan about oh and well done on winning the league 2 games in

Haha what an ace thread.
To be fair to Chris, he did mention that Oasis played some good football, and had the lions share of possesion from about 10 minutes onwards. We never set up for a draw, but being aware you'd stuck 7 in the previous week we knew we had to start strong, which I think we did. In terms of tackles/injuries that challenge in the 3rd minute was a bad one but good on the manager if he did have a word about it.
It was a very niggly game, and there was a lot of freekicks given (mainly for shirt pulling as oppose to anything overly dangerous) but I think this shows that if you have a player who spends the game moaning (the complaints over time taken retrieving the ball mainly) it can tar a whole team. That said, all a manager can do is have words.
Upon leaving the pitch, I did make an effort to wish your lads all the best for the season. From our point of view, we still have a few first teamers missing for various reasons, and a few players playing out of position, but if we show that commitment all season I know we will be fine

Thanks for your post and hopefully putting some perspective on this thread but more importantly, the match.
With the exception of one, all Macclesfield players, manager and your injured players who came to watch were very gracious after the game. One of my players said to me this morning "it's a pity that guy put that post up as I had nothing but respect for how Macclesfield played and behaved afterwards".
