Another high scoring game involving Ivy Cosmos. Ivy took the lead early on, and generally controlled the game. Once St Paul's Levelled, and Ivy then missed a penalty only a minute later. The wind went out of the sails a little bit and the play went flat. St Pauls' then took the lead going in 1-2 at half time. Second half Ivy carried on playing well in the midfield and upfront and got back level after a wonderful solo goal from Akeeb. St Paul's then pulled themselves ahead going 4-2 up. With all 4 of St Paul's goals coming from 1 on 1 chances following either a quick counter attack or a bit of defensive fraility. In the last 10 minutes Ivy managed to grab themselves 3 goals to wrap up a 5-4, also missing an open goal in the process at 4-4.
On the whole I feel that we (Ivy Cosmos) deserved the win, as we controlled large parts of the game and got the goals we deserved. as well and being very wasteful with our final balls, crosses, shots on goal and general play in the final 3rd. Where as St Paul's were very clinical when the broke forward and put in some good forward play. four shots on target and four goals, albeit from 1 on 1's.
Good Luck to St Paul's for the rest of the season.
