Another frustrating game for us where we played some good football but some mistakes at the back cost us. 1-1 at half time, although we hit the post in a chance to take the lead, then unfortunately at 2-1 we had to call an ambulance as our keeper collided with our player and was in agony suspecting he had broken his leg (has done it before in the same place). This delayed the match for at least half an hour, but thankfully the ref and St Eliz were able to continue after that, even though one of their players needed to leave. Fotrunately it turned out he hadn't broken his leg, but needed to be on crutches. I had the joy of going in goal once the game got under way again (actually quite enjoyed it!). As we pushed for the equaliser St Eliz scored another 2 goals on the break.
Well done to St Eliz, they were more clinical than us and made less mistakes at the back. The game was played in a great spirit.
