Pitch didn't retain much of yesterdays rain so in the sunshine the pitch was very bobbly. Other than that It was perfect day for a match.
We went behind inside 30 seconds, straight from kick off the ball was lofted forward, our left back miscued his header and then our centre back missed his kick, the pennington striker fired into the net. We really struggled to get going for the first half hour and pennington worked hard to close us down. We got eventually got the equiliser from Eros, I squeezed a through ball into the box that wasn't controlled by the centre back or keeper and Eros had made the run across and managed to stick it away. 1-1 half time.
Second half we were much better and more fluid, we got the second although it was rather fortunate, it ball that was intended to be popped over the top was overhit, the bounce deceived the keeper and looped into the net.
We got the 3rd goal from a free kick by Rick, it was whipped in from the left across the box, missed everyone and nestled in the corner.
We had a couple of other chances, Luca and Jonny F not able to net, Pennington had a couple of chance late on, a driven shot was turned over by Darryl and a block tackle by Dave Moore ensured we closed out the game.
