A cracking game of football!
Ditton took the lead midway through the first half when Nathan Braddish converted from close range after a good pullback from the byline, by the Ditton midfielder. Ditton had 3 other good chances but was kept out by the Ivy keeper and on one occassion combination of the crossbar aswell. Ivy had one decent effort in the first half that was tipped onto the crossbar from the keeper from a direct free kick.
Second half Ditton grabbed their second when Braddish skilfully skinned the ivy centre back and fired across the keeper. Into the bottom corner, although I (the keeper) should have been able to keep it out.
Ivy got themselves back into it through a Cracking Freekick from Akeeb, from 20 yards out with about 15 minutes to go.
Ivy then got level within the last 5 minutes when our other striker Adam Smikle fired low into the corner following a long throw in.
Overall a fair result maybe. That's 4 times we've met with 2 draws and a narrow victory for each team. And I'm sure we'll have another couple of great matches again next season!
