Even contest. Surprising that we only had 3 goals in 2 hours of football, given the number of chances both teams had. One reason for that was very good goalkeeping from Audacious - as good a keeper as I have seen in SMCCFL I reckon.
It was 1-0 to Hurdsfield at half time, but in that first half Audacious should have scored. Then their second half pressure got them the equaliser and we went to extra time - but only after Hurdsfield had missed a penalty in the last 5 minutes. In extra time we scored the winner in the first period and held on, probably should have made it safe in the second period. By the end both teams were struggling with exhaustion and injuries after 2 hours on a heavy pitch.
Friendly and sporting conduct from both teams, no issues.
